Pom Poms Cardigan

I’ve admired and wanted this for absolutely ages but didn’t think it was going to be right for me. As it’s in clearance and at such a low price I took the risk and bought it in the S, my usual size. I was worried the Pom poms would sit inappropriately in the wrong position on my chest too. Well it’s soooooo long on my petite height that it doesn’t do that. The Pom poms appear to be well positioned but sadly it is up to my mid calves and quite large. I could keep it to wear at home as it would be like a warm hug and nicer than a robe or blanket! However, I can fold it over myself as if it’s a double breasted garment so I wish I’d sized down! Most of the time in woven fabrics in coats and jackets I go with the size M or 18 to make sure I can comfortably wear mock necks with jumpers or tunics/dresses underneath but in knitted ones size S is more than enough however this is very generous. I folded the sleeves once which are ribbed so look fine but it’s not suited to me. It would be a shame to waste it so I will gift it to my friends beautiful mum. It is thick and warm. Not heavy on the body but heavy to post which I will (SA to Sydney) or in a suitcase but in winter or cold weather in Autumn and Spring this would be such a comforting cosiness to wear! So wear it while you travel. It’s a dark dusky pink too. A bit darker than pictured I feel. If I was taller and it was an XS it would have been fabulous for me but I think my friend will love it. The only thing that I wasn’t keen on as some other reviewers said the side seam pockets do tend to stick out and would have given my hips an unflattering bulkiness but instead they’re more on my thighs and aren’t quite as noticeable unless I hold the edges together. Some buttons would have been good to stop from opening in the wind. The Chinese style Loop style instead of buttonholes like the Chi Chi cardigan would be great. I had a feeling all along though I loved it it would be better for the taller ladies. It is gorgeous and pure luxury in the way it feels!

This was an impulse purchase and I am so happy with it, warm and cosy, great fit, flattering and goes with so much of my wardrobe, great for work and casual both

A fabulous winter cardigan. Colour is a nice change. It is warm and cosy. Sizing is rather large. I normally buy a sm or a med, but needed an extra small for this.
